RAC Submission to Australia’s Humanitarian Program 2022-23
A key commitment made the by Albanese government is to abolish temporary protection visas (TPVs) and convert these to permanent visas. Equally important is to expedite reuniting families that have been separated due to 10 years of uncertainty created by these TPVs, living in fear and insecurity. In RACs submission to the 2023 Humanitarian Program, we argue that fulfilling this commitment must be urgently and critically carried out by the new government.
