Join local Amnesty International Australia volunteers, to stand in solidarity with protesters around the world tomorrow, to call on the USA to show courage and compassion for people seeking safety and demand the USA repeal the new ‘Immigration Ban.’

Last night President Trump signed a new Executive Order to reinstate the suspension of the USA’s refugee resettlement programme, and establish a temporary travel ban on people from six majority-Muslim countries.

We will have a Statue of Liberty, and bring a four metre banner reading USA: show courage & compassion for people seeking safety, and we’ll provide various signs and messages, outside the USA Embassy gates tomorrow morning at 8.45am

We are standing with people across the world who have no other option but to leave their homes to seek safety for themselves and their family. At a time when the world is facing major conflict and unrest, we need to find shared solutions to look after those in need.
