With the Palm Sunday Rally for Refugees on 29 March the upcoming General Meeting will focus on discussing ways to build for the rally, as well as coordinating our actions on the day. The current agenda is as follows:
1. Finalising the policy document discussed at the previous meeting. The draft taken to the previous meeting can be found here: http://refugeeaction.org/
2. Organising for Palm Sunday
3. Slogans for new RAC t-shirts
4. Performance Group – refugee stories performance for Palm Sunday
5. Design Group
6. Follow-up event to Palm Sunday. Current suggestions are:
– Public forum on conditions in detention and resistance by refugees
– Public forum on The Drownings Argument
The general meetings allow us to get together to coordinate our activities. They also provide an opportunity for new members to get an understanding of what RAC does, and find ways to contribute. If you are yet to be involved in the campaign but would like to find a way to help, we urge you to come along.
