RAC will be holding a workshop on Sunday 29 May which aims to arm activists with both the important facts about Australia’s shameful refugee policy, and the confidence to engage with others on the issue while working on a stall, leafleting, or just in day-to-day conversations.

The workshop will focus on:
– equipping activists with arguments to counter some of the most common issues raised, such as “doesn’t stopping boats saves lives?”
– discussing techniques and arguments that will help move people from being supporters of refugees to active participants in the campaign
– identifying techniques for finishing conversations with those hostile to refugees and developing resilience to manage these type of interactions

Everyone is welcome at the workshop, whether you’re new to the campaign or have been actively involved for years.
