“Survivors and hospital administrators recounted at least four occasions when Israeli drones or snipers killed or badly wounded Palestinians trying to enter. Two women about to give birth were shot and bled to death in the street, staff said.”

This is in stark contrast to the temporary stay visas offered to Ukrainians, who were afforded full work and study rights, and healthcare. The distinction is entirely cowardly and racist, clearly based on how the gov thought the opposition and conservative press would react.

Speaking to a friend finishing a PhD on refugee workers in rural Australia today and he pointed out that by granting the vanishingly few Palestinians escaping the slaughter tourist visas, the government is denying them any right to healthcare.
